The story behind this one is as empty as its background because there is none. At least not from my side.

Instead I tried to capture something one of my best friends described to me in one of our many calls on Discord. For a long time he struggled with depression and what it feels like to feel nothing. Nothing moves you as it used to, no heartwrenching movie, no funny jokes. All you’re left with is to sit and reminisce what it was like to have sparks of joy, have tears run down your cheeks or something primal like fear.

I had a phase where I was working mainly with a white background and from all pieces I made in this setting, here I feel like it has truly found its home. The complete opposite of the abyss, where you fall victim to your emotions. Just an infinite space of nothingness with you in it, lingering in all that is lost.
